When Would You Call the Pandemic Over?
What would be necessary for you to call the local epidemic over?
Christy Sylvester & Ruxy Pascanu write: The local epidemic would be over when there would be no new cases of people getting sick, or other animals getting sick because of the same virus.
Dan Szyprowski writes: The pandemic would be declared over when a successful vaccine is in full circulation and the number of cases of the bird flu drop drastically to very little or perhaps close to none.
How about for the pandemic?
Christy Sylvester & Ruxy Pascanu write: The pandemic would be over when the number of new people getting infected would slowly decrease to a stop eventually. Even if isolated new cases of people would still get sick now and as long as those new cases wouldn't spread the pandemic would be over.
